Botanical Blooms and new In-Colors

This is a gate fold card that I made and I learned how to make it by watching Dawn's video.  It uses  Botanical Gardens Builders Framelits.  I wanted to use some new In-Colors, so I used Sweet Sugarplum for the flowers, Peek-a-Boo Peach for the stigma centers of the flowers, and Emerald Envy for the leaves.  The sentiment "Thank You' comes from the stamp set "One Big Meaning".  The base of my card is Early Espresso and the inside is Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

Never Ending Card - Love You Lots (Hostess)

This is my first Never-Ending card made with success thanks to Robin Messenheimer's video HERE.  It really isn't hard to make the mechanism of how it works.  It took me longer to measure the cardstock and DSP, but once I did it, it was so much fun to create.  I want to make some more, but using different measurements so the card will fit into an A2 envelope. This one will need a 6" envelope.  It is important to measure accurately for the card to work as you unfold each section.  I used the new In-Color Sweet Sugarplum as well as the new Playful Palette DSP Stack.  The stamp set is the new hostess set called Love You Lots, which will be available June 1st with a $150 workshop order.

Paper Pumpkin May 2016

Birthday Palette

This is a card I made for my hostess who has a birthday today.  I used the new Painter's Palette set that will be available June 1 from the new annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  The colors are Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, and the new In-Color Emerald Envy.  The Designer Series Paper is called Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack and the ribbon is the 3/8" Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon which  is also new in the catalog.  I also used the Lots of Labels Framelits in the Big Shot.

Floral Affection

Woke up this morning with an idea to use this Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder by coloring the outline with my markers.  The colors of my card include Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, and the In-Color Emerald Envy.  I really love this color combination. The ribbon is the new 3/8" Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon which is awesome to work with. The ribbon comes in all the new In-Colors for 2016-2019.  The Designer Series Paper is the new Playful Palette Series Stack.  I also used the Lots of Labels Framelits to create my card.  I decided to add a  "Happy Birthday" sentiment from BYOP stamp set.   I'm off to play some more, but I also need to get ready for my club workshop tomorrow.

Painter's Palette

This is another card I made with the new stamp set Painter's Palette and using the In-Color Sweet Sugarplum.  I also used the Playful Palette DSP Stack.  The new Framelits I used are the Layering Squares Framelits which coordinates with many new stamp sets.  All of these can be purchased starting June 1.

Gift of Love

Today, I played around with a new hostess set called "Gift of Love" which can be earned by the hostess with Stampin' Rewards for $10 starting June 1, 2016.  It has some beautiful sentiments in it too.  The colors are some of the new In-Colors called Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum.  I used the In-Color markers to color in the flowers, but it is a 2-step set so the leaves and the flowers can be stamped with the ink pads if you don't want to use the markers.  The TIEF is Elegant Dots.

Painter's Palette

Here is my first card made with the new set Painter's Palette that I was able to preorder through Stampin' Up! as a demo this month.  I was out of town for the weekend visiting my grand twins,
so today I was able to start making some cards with this set.  The DSP paper is also new and it is called Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack.  Just love the new In-Colors.  The colors are Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo.  Starting June 1, this stamp set, paper and ink can be  purchased with the new Stampin' Up! 2016-20-17 Annual catalog.

Lemonade at the Beach

Are you thirsty?  A tall glass of lemonade sounds great, doesn't it?  I just had to make another card using Apple of My Eye since it will retire the end of this month, I'm sad to say.  The base of my card is Daffodil Delight card stock.  Then I layered it with Basic Black card stock.  I stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Tempting Turquoise and Crumb Cake for the beach scene but thought it also needed the sun at the beach so I used a post-it note and a 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  I also made a Wild Wasabi straw from the Subtles Collection DSP.  The glass of lemonade is made with Whisper White and Vellum.  The lemons are Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry for the seeds and I used a 1-3/4" Circle Punch to punch them out. I stamped "Thank You" with Black Stazon.

In the Meadow - Soft Sky

After viewing a video of Dawn's, I decided I wanted to make a similar card but with a little more color than hers by adding more of the Soft Sky ink and cardstock.  Someone else sent me a card she found on Pinterest using this set with I believe Blushing Bride was used.  The base of my card is Early Espresso cut at 4-1/4" x 11".  The second layer is Soft Sky, but I cut it in half and ran half through the Elegant Dots TIEF.  Then I placed a strip of Early Espresso across the center where the two meet.  I stamped the mountains, tree and grass with Archival Basic Black on Whisper White cardstock.  I placed a mask for the moon using the 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  Then I used a Dauber to color in the sky and water with Soft Sky ink.  Then I used another Dauber to color in the mountains, grass, and trees.  I used the White Gel Pen to highlight the mountains, trees, and grass.  I layered it on Crumb Cake and then Early Espresso.

Beautiful Ride, Picture Perfect and Wetlands

First, I made this card with the Wetland's sandpipers at the beach.  The water and sky were made using Pool Party ink.  The sentiment is from Picture Perfect set which I just love.  I thought it needed a little something more, so I had this car from Beautiful Ride made with the Botanical Gardens DSP already made and cut out to make another card that I was going to case, but changed my mind.  Soft Suede is my second layer.  On Whisper White cardstock, I used Pool Party.  I used Crumb Cake for the sand at the beach and sponged it with Soft Suede ink.

Apple of My Eye - Plums

Just had to make another card using Apple of My Eye before it retires this month.  This time,  I created plums instead of apples or peaches.  I used Cherry Cobbler ink on my plums and then sponged it with Perfect Plum which would only make sense to use that color since I was making plums!  I used the White Gel Pen to make a line on my plums to make it look more natural.  The base of my card is Cherry Cobbler card stock  with Blushing Bride card stock as my second layer.   I sponged Blushing Bride ink with plastic wrap to give it a different background effect.  The DSP is Wild Wasabi from the Subtles Collection and I added a doily.  I stamped "You are made of Wonderful" on Blushing Bride card stock and cut it out with the Cards/Labels Framelits.  The leaves are also Wild Wasabi ink stamped on Whisper White card stock.

Stacked Cups

Here is another card that I made yesterday using the Cups & Kettle Framelits that will retire the end of May.  The colors are Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Delightful Dijon, Crumb Cake and Whisper White inks.  The cardstock used was Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chips, Delightful Dejon and Chocolate Chip. I followed Michelle Zindorf's tutorial to create this card but mine is somewhat different than hers.  I also used Timeless Textures which is not retiring.

Cups and Kettles in the Morning Sunshine

Today was a very productive day making 5 cards and using techniques that I learned from Michelle Zindorf.  Thought I'd better use my Cups & Kettles Framelits from 2016 Occasions catalog before they retire.  This was a fun technique to make the sun rays so I want to make some more very soon.  The colors are Old Olive, Cazjun Craze, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler.  I used One Big Meaning stamp set for the sentiment.  I will post more cards tomorrow, but thought I'd at least post this one for now.

Yuletide Village with Frosted Forest trees in an arch

This is the card that I used for my monthly November swap.  The theme was "Christmas Card" but although there is no message on the...
