Hippest Hippos - Jingle Jingle Jingle

This is the first card that I stamped with the Hippest Hippos stamp set that is FREE with a $50 Stampin' Up! order.  I also used the Hippo Dies that can also be earned FREE with a $50 order, or if you spend $100, you can earn both FREE.  This card idea was inspired by Tina Wardell but I just used different DSP but used the same stamp sets.  Here are my instructions below:

Stamp Sets: Hippest Hippos (SAB), Jingle, Jingle, Jingle

Cardstock:  Real Red, Pacific Point, Basic White, Storybook Gnomes DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Real Red

Stampin’ Blends:  Real Red, Gray Granite, Color Lifter

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Basic Borders, Hippo Dies (SAB), Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Real Red cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Pacific Point cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.

3.    Cut the snowflakes Storybook Gnomes DSP at 3” x 3-3/4” and adhere to the Pacific Point cardstock.

4.    Cut Basic White cardstock at 2-1/2” x 3-3/4” and use the Basic Borders Die to create the ground snow.  Ink up the sentiment “Tis the Season to be” from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento.  Adhere to the Pacific Point layer of cardstock at the bottom with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

5.    On a piece of Basic White cardstock, ink up the dancing hippo with Tuxedo Black Memento and die-cut with the Hippo Die.  Color the hippo in with Gray Granite and Real Red Stampin’ Blends.

6.    Ink up the Santa hat from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento on Basic White cardstock.  Color it in with Real Red Stampin’ Blend.  Use the Color Lifter.  Cut it out with the Paper Snips.

7.    Glue the Santa hat onto the hippo with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then add Dimensionals to the hippo and adhere to the card.

8.    For the inside, ink up the “Jolly” stamp from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set.  Put a piece of leftover DSP on one side.
