Wonderful World - Warm Wishes

This is a card that I made inspired by Jacque Williams, but I changed it somewhat.  Her technique was to cut the ends after you stamp and align them with Dimensionals on the back and adhere them to another piece of larger cardstock.  The flowers are called Batchelor Buttons (cornflower).  They come in many shades of pink, purple, white, and almost black.  The stamp is from the Wonderful World Bundle in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog on page 14.

Stamp Set: Wonderful World, Kindest Gnomes (sentiment)

Cardstock:  Orchid Oasis, Basic White

Ink:  Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Painted Texture Embossing Folder, Daubers, 1/8” Metallic Woven Orchid Oasis Ribbon, Paper Trimmer, Scotch tape, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Orchid Oasis cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Painted Texture Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Adhere to the base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Cut Basic White cardstock at 2-3/4” x 4”.  Ink up the Bachelor Bluebonnet flower with Orchid Oasis.  Use a Dauber to add Starry Sky ink and stamp it.

4.    Now, you are going to cut from the bottom with the Paper Trimmer ¾” and then 7/8”.  Ink up the “Warm Wishes” sentiment from the Kindest Gnomes on the bottom section.

5.    Adhere Dimensionals to the back of each piece.  Attach the top, then the bottom, and last the middle.  Attach to the 3” x 4-1/2” Basic White cardstock.

6.    Wrap the 1/8” Metallic Woven Orchid Oasis Ribbon around the open sections of each cut area and use tape on the back.  Add a bow on the top one.

7.    Adhere to 3-1/4” x 4-3/4” Orchid Oasis cardstock and adhere to the front of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
