Snowman Magic

It's summertime, but it's not too early to think about Christmas cards.  I love snowmen, so this set was on my wish list right away from the July-December Mini Catalog (Holiday Catalog).  I love the little frame with snowflakes.  I used the Basic Borders for the snow on the ground.  Here are the instructions for my card.

Stamp Set:  Snowman Magic

Cardstock:  Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, Soft Suede, Basic White

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie Blends, Balmy Blue Blends

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Snowman Dies, Seasonal Labels Dies, Basic Borders Dies, Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Pacific Point cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and uses the Snowman Dies frame to die-cut it out.

3.    Use the Basic Borders Dies from Basic White for the ground of snow.

4.    Die-cut the snowman from Basic White.  Ink up his face with Tuxedo Black Memento and his buttons.  Color his nose with the Pumpkin Pie Blends.  Use the Balmy Blue Blend on the right edge of the snowman to give him dimension.

5.    Die-cut the arms from Soft Suede Cardstock and attach with Glue Dots.

6.  Add the cap and scarf with Pacific Point ink on Balmy Blue cardstock.  Die-cut them out. Attach with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

7.    Ink up the sentiment “Filled with Warm and Wonderful Memories” with Pacific Point ink on Basic White cardstock.  Die-cut with the Seasonal Labels Dies.  Turn it and use the other end to make it smaller.

8.    Cut 4” x 5-1/4” Basic White cardstock for the inside and ink up the sentiment “It’s the Most Magical Time of the Year” with Pacific Point ink.
