And Many More - Easter Egg

This is my Easter Egg card made using the Oval Framelit Dies.  Can you believe Easter is so early this year?   I used some of the new Metallics Glitter Tape by placing strips of the white one on my Silicone pad and then inking up my Daubers to color each strip. Let it dry completely! The colors I used were Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.

  • The base of my card is Whisper White cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2" in the middle.
  • The second layer it Bermuda Bay cut at 4" x 5-1/4".
  • Lay the white strips that you need on the Silicone Pad and choose the ink pad colors you wish to color them by using a Dauber.  Let dry completely before moving them onto a 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock.  Use a scrap piece of cardstock at 9/16" of an inch between each layer for your guide placement.
  • Then use the third from the largest Oval Framelit to cut out your egg.
  • Ink up "Hippity-Hoppity" from And Many More stamp set to stamp in the middle white section.
  • I punched out a Bermuda Bay flower using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and punched out a Daffodil Delight center with the 1/8" Hand-Held Circle Punch.
  • Add it to the front of the card with Dimensionals.

Beautiful Ride - Car

This was another beach scene inspired by Michelle Zindorf only her car is red with a convertible.
I embossed the car on Shimmery White cardstock and colored it in with an Aqua Painter filled with alcohol so it would dry faster using Marina Mist reinker. I colored in the tires with a Black marker and the wheels with Soft Sky.

Wetlands by the Tide

Here is another beach scene I created using the sandpipers from the  Wetlands stamp set, the shell from the By the Tide set, an the "Happy Birthday" from Rose Wonder (2016 Occasions).

  • The base of my card is Tempting Turquoise cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4" in the middle.
  • The second layer is Basic Black cardstock cut at 4" x 5-1/4".
  • The third layer is Whisper White cut at 3-3/4" x 5".
  • The fourth layer is Crumb Cake cut at 2" x 5" but torn along the long edge and sponged with Soft Suede to create the beach.  Stamp "Happy Birthday" in Soft Suede ink.
  • For the sky and ocean, I used Tempting Turquoise ink lightly over half the Whisper White.   The other half I used Crumb Cake to create the beach.
  • I stamped the sandpipers with Archival Basic Black ink.  I used the Gel Pen to create waves.
  • I added the Crumb Cake cardstock that I had already prepared with Snail Adhesive to the bottom of my card.
  • I stamped the shell on Whisper White cardstock and used the Blushing Bride marker to color it in. I also edged it with a Soft Suede marker.   I added the Clear Wink of Stella to make it shiny.
  • Then cut it out with Paper Snips and add Dimensionals to adhere it to the beach.

Rose Wonder Birthday

This card was inspired from a card on Pinterest that my friend/customer Justine shared with me.  So I wanted to give it a try.  It involves using the pieces from the Rose Garden Thinlets after cutting out different colors of card stock.  I used Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.  It is sort of like putting a jigsaw puzzle together.

  • The base of my card is Basic Black card stock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4" in the middle.
  • Then I inserted another piece of Basic Black card stock into the Big Shot using the Rose Garden Thinlets Dies to create the base outline of my flower. I glued down on the front of my card using 2-Way Glue Pen.
  • Then I used Daffodil Delight and a Crushed Curry scraps in the Big Shot for the rose.. Then for the leaves I used Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz scraps.  After running them through the Big Shot, I layed the thinlet on Glad Press N' Seal and used the Big Shot Die Brush.  Most of the pieces stuck to the Glad sheets.  This made it easier to locate my pieces when I glued them into the black outline of the rose. To glue them, I found that the Multipurpose Liquid Glue worked the best.
  • After I glued in all the pieces, I used Paper Snips to trim around the bottom of the rose and leaves.  Then inside I inserted a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Daffodil Delight card stock and stamped "Happy Birthday" in the lower right side with the Archival Basic Black ink pad.
  • This is probably a more advanced card to teach this technique, but love the way it turned out.

Birthday Blooms and Perfectly Artisitic

This was a fun card to make, however,  the Perfectly Artistic DSP is now retired from the Sale-A-Bration because of the Limited Time (retired 2/15/16). . I liked it so much, I was able to order an extra one before they retired.

  • The base of my card is Mint Macaron cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2" in the middle.
  • The second layer of cardstock is Basic Black cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and layered onto the front of the card.
  • The third layer is Whisper White cut at 3-3/4" x 5". I stamped the Birthday Blooms rose on the upper part of the Whisper White with Archival Classic Black.
  • Then I also stamped it on the Mint Macaron DSP and again on the Blushing Bride DSP.
  • I used my Paper Snips to cut out the leaves, but I also used the Mint Macaron marker for part of the leaves and stems.  I cut out the flowers with the Paper Snips.  I popped up the main flower with Dimensionals and added some Pearl Basic Jewels.
  • Then I stamped "Happiest of Birthdays to You" and loved the way it turned out.
