Seaside Shore

This card uses a lot of the new products in the 2016-2017 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog.  The new stamp set is called Seaside Shore.  The base of my card is Pool Party but the second layer is the new In-Color called Dapper Denim which I just love.  The third layer is also Pool Party but I used the new Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used the new Layering Circle Framelits to create the circles on my card and I used the Aqua Painter to color in the background on the circle.   I colored the fish with some of the new In-Colors and cut them out with Paper Snips and popped them up with Dimensionals. I stamped "Oh, Happy Day" in Dapper Denim and punched it out with the new Duet Banner Punch.

Wetlands and Gift of Love

This was a very simple card to make because the design on the paper was from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack on page 174 of the new annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  When I first saw it in the catalog, it didn't appeal to me until I saw a post from Anja Luft.  I thought she had used an ink pad to make the background until she told me what paper she used.  It goes perfectly with the Wetlands stamp set with the sandpipers on the beach.  The base of my card is Bermuda Bay with a layer of Pool Party.  The sentiment above is from the hostess set called Gift of Love.  I stamped the birds and the sentiment with Early Espresso.  There are more beautiful scenes of paper in this stack, but this one really caught my eye.

Foxy Friends

 Foxy Friends Fun Fancy Fold

This is such a cute new stamp set in the annual catalog called Foxy Friends.  It can be purchased as a bundle with the Fox Builder Punch which will save you 10%.  You can also purchase A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack that matches.  I saw a video by Sacha Van de Kerkhof on how she made this fun little fun-fold card.  The base of my card is Basic Black cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 3-1/4".  I used the Sweet and  Sassy Framelits to create the heart by leaving the point of the heart right at the fold line.  I cut out a Pool Party heart to glue over the black heart.  The "For You" came from the Circle of Friends, but you can use any set that has the sentiment.  I stamped the fox with Cajun Craze and his eyes, nose and feet with Archival Basic Black in.  The tree is Old Olive and cut out with the Perfect Pine Framelits.  The DSP is cut at 2-3/4" x 4" and the little strip is 3/4" x 4".

Baby Bear Z-Fold Card

Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there today.  It also would have been our 40th wedding anniversary if my husband was still living.  Miss him a lot, so in honor of my husband I made this card today.  I used the new set Baby Bear and made a Z-fold card.  I saw some videos on how to make the Z-fold card.  My bear was a little too big to fit in the middle, so that is why I put him over on the right on the inside.  I would have needed 12" x 12" cardstock to make him fit inside the Z, but I didn't own any that size of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock, although Stampin' Up! carries it.  I wanted to use the In-Color Flirty Flamingo DSP,  The base of my card is cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2".  Then I cut a strip at 1-1/4" x 11" and scored it at 4-1/2" and then 8-1/2".    The Designer Series Paper is cut with one piece at 1" x 5-1/4" and two pieces at 4" x 1-1/2" and attached to each panel with an adhesive.  I also used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits to cut out a heart for the front panel.  On the Whisper White panels, I stamped "love you" on the front and "beary much" on the inside. I stamped the bear first with Crumb Cake, then Soft Suede and then Early Espresso and cut him out with Paper Snips to attach to the far right of my card.
