Hey Birthday Chick - Dancing Chickens

Wouldn't it be fun to receive a silly birthday card in the mail with these three chicken hens as though they were dancing?  I saw a similar card from Karen Titus and thought it would be fun to add a wobble to the one on the right.  I also add some clouds and grass from some other sets.

Here are my instructions:

1.     The base of the card is Real Red cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Berry Delightful DSP cut at 4” x 5-1/4”. Adhere to the base.

3.    The third layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 3-3/4” x 5”.

4.    For the Basic White cardstock, you will need to create some masks:  Die-cut three chickens from a post-it note, one sky, and one balloon in the Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Ink up one dancing chicken with Memento Black ink and stamp it on the right of the Basic White cardstock.  Cover it with the post-it note chicken and stamp it again on the left.  Ink it up again and stamp it to the left again so that you have 3 chickens dancing.  Ink up the balloon stamp and the string with Memento Black ink to place for the first chicken.

5.    Now cover all the stamped chickens with the post-it while you create your sky using the cloud post-it and a blending brush using Balmy Blue ink on the upper part of the cardstock.  Move the sky mask down and create more clouds doing the same thing.

6.    Leaving the masks on the chickens, use the other Blending Brush and Old Olive ink for the ground and add the grass stamp from Nature’s Beauty.

7.    Die-cut the “Happy Birthday” die with the Birthday Chick Die and Real Red cardstock and run it through the Mini Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

8.    Die-cut a Real Red Balloon using the Special Day Die and use Multipurpose Glue to add to the balloon string.

9.  Color the three chickens plus another one on scrap and die it out.  Color them with the Stampin' Blends and add a Wobble to the one cut out and add over the one on the right.
