Adorable Owl meets with Ringed with Nature

This is a card that I made similar about a week ago, but I changed it somewhat using the Wisteria Dies for the leaves in the tree.  I originally was inspired by Rose Coleman to make this card.  My card club made this card on Sunday and so I demonstrated how to use the Hypbrid Ringed with Nature Embossing Folder and Dies that die-cut and emboss at the same time.  They were amazed.

Stamp Sets:  Adorable Owls, Ringed with Nature

Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Basic White

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Soft Suede

Stampin’ Blends:  Natural Blends Light and Medium, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, and a White Gel Pen

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder, Timber Embossing Folder, Wisteria Dies, Stylish Shapes, Paper Snips, Take-Your-Pick Tool, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 11” and scored at 5-1/2” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Soft Suede cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”. The third layer is Crumb Cake and inserted into the Timber Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Layer together.  Die-cut the largest tree ring with the Tree Ring Hybrid Embossing Folder using Soft Suede Cardstock. Stamp with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and die-cut with the largest die tree ring insert.  Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the Soft Suede tree ring.

3.    Die-cut the Granny Apple Green leaves using the dies from the Wisteria Dies.  Add with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

4.    Ink up the flying owl with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White.  Color in with the Stampin’ Blends Use the Basic Black to color in the black pupil and the White Gel Pen to color the spot in his eye. The Pumpkin Pie for his beak and feet. Then trim him out with Paper Snips and attach with Dimensionals.

5.    Ink up the “It’s Your Day” on Basic White cardstock and die-cut with the smallest Stylish Shapes Dies in the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

6.    Add 3 of the golden Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins.
