Love Cats

This is a new stamp set from the 2023 Mini Catalog called Love Cats.  I have a black cat named Milo, so I knew I wanted this set the moment I saw it in the catalog on Page 13, so I bought it and made some cards with it yesterday.  It makes for a great Valentine Card too!

Stamp Set:  Love Cats

Cardstock:  Balmy Blue, Basic White, Sweet Sorbet, 6” x 6” Country Gingham DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Stamparatus, Stylish Shapes Dies, Layering Circles Dies, ½” Balmy Blue White Variegated Ribbon, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

1.     The base of the card is Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 3-7/8” x5-1/8”.

3.    The third layer is the Balmy Blue Country Gingham DSP cut at 3-3/4” x 5”.  Use Multipurpose Glue to adhere to the Basic White layer. The Country Gingham DSP strip is 1-1/2” x 3-7/8” and adhered to the middle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

4.    Cut a Basic White cardstock at 4” x 5-1/4”.  Die-cut a circle to create a template.  Position the template inside the Stamparatus and use the cut-out circle inside to stamp the cat stamp using Tuxedo Black Memento.  Color in the heart with the Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blend.

5.    Die-cut a Balmy Blue scallop and layer the cat circle to it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use Dimensionals on the back to adhere over the strip on the base card.

6.    Ink up the sentiment “Head Over Heels About You” with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and die-cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies banner.  Use Dimensionals and adhere to the bottom of the card.

7.    Add three of the blue sequins to the card.

8.    Tie a bow with the ribbon and attach with a Glue Dot to the left side of the circle.
