Horse and Sleigh

I've been having so much fun making lots of cards with this Online Exclusive stamp set called Horse and Sleigh. It is not in any catalog so you can only find it Online at MY STAMPIN UP WEBSITE or you can purchase the whole Suite Collection at HERE
This is a card that I learned how to make from Lynn Starzl YouTube Video, but I changed the colors.  It's actually called a Horizontal Center Step Card and I made a pattern of it using her measurements, but you can watch her video HERE

Stamp Set:  Horse and Sleigh

Cardstock:  Boho Blue, Basic White, One Horse Open Sleigh DSP

Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Smokey Slate

Stampin’ Blends: Smokey Slate, Boho Blue, Real Red, Lemon Lolly, Pretty Peacock, Basic Black, Pecan Pie

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Horse and Sleigh Dies, Adhesive Backed Snowflake Assortment

1.      The card base is Boho Blue cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”.

2.    Use the Trimmer to cut starting at 1” down and 1” over to 5-1/4” down with the 5-1/2 cardstock at the top of the trimmer. Do the exact same on the parallel side.

3.    Then turn your cardstock to the 8-1/2” side at the top.  Score at 1” to the cut edge on both sides but not the middle section.  Then move it 2” and score to the cut edge on both sides but not the middle section.

4.    Score at 4-1/4” through the middle section.

5.    Then move to 5-1/4” and score on each side but not the middle section. (See measurements above in the pattern).

6.    Fold on each score line and burnish with the Bone Folder.

7.    Cut DSP with the steeple at 3-1/4” x 3” and two strips for the sides at ¾” x 3”.

8.    Cut a Basic White strip at 1” x 5-1/2”.  Ink up the snow stamp with Smokey Slate and stamp at the bottom. Die-cut two snow mounds with the dies from Basic White scraps.

9.    Ink up the open-horse sleigh stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on 2-3/4” x 5-3/4” Basic White cardstock.  Color it in with the Stampin’ Blends and die-cut with the Horse and Sleigh Dies.  Adhere to the Basic White strip at the bottom with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the lower party of the horse and sleigh.

10.  For the inside, cut 3” x 5-1/4” Basic White.  Ink up the sentiment of choice with Tuxedo Black Memento.
