Wanted To Say - Happy Birthday

This is another card that I made using the same technique as my previous card that I posted but it is using the "Happy Birthday" die from the Wanted To Say Dies.  There is no stamping on this card unless you stamp a sentiment inside.  It is fun to create different colors combinations with the cardstock strips.

Stamp set:  None

Cardstock:  Berry Burst, Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist, Tahitian Tide, Blueberry Bushel, Lemon Lolly

Ink:  None

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Wanted To Say Dies, Adhesive Sheets, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Tinsel Gems 4-Pack (Berry Burst), Silicone Craft Sheet, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Berry Burst cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4”.

3.    With the Paper Trimmer, cut strips at ¼” wide and long to go across the card with Berry Burst, Lemon Lolly, Tahitian Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and Blueberry Bushel or any cardstock of your choice.

4.    Use the Silicone Craft Sheet to lay the Basic White cardstock layer onto and begin gluing strips down diagonally across the landscape cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue leaving space between each strip.  Once you have 5 strips glued down, turn and trim off excess cardstock with the Paper Snips.

5.    Turn the card and start on the side and try to keep the colors in the same sequence as before.  Then glue them down the other way as shown in the picture.

6.    Use Adhesive Sheet on the back of the Silver Foil and die-cut “Happy Birthday” and the background Berry Burst in the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  Layer together and add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.  Adhere to the center of the card.

7.    Add 5 Berry Burst Tinsel Gems to the front of the card.
