Sketched Plaid - Cottage Wreath - Horse & Sleigh

I'm already thinking about making Christmas cards even though it's summertime and the month of July.  It's always a great idea to plan ahead.  I hadn't used my Sketched Plaid stamp set yet.  I thought it would look great for a Christmas card, so I included the wreath from Cottage Wreath from the Annual Catalog and a sentiment from the Horse & Sleigh from the Online Exclusives.

Stamp Set:  Sketched Plaid, Cottage Wreath, Horse & Sleigh

Cardstock:  Cherry Cobbler, Basic White

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce

Other:  Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Stamparatus (retired), Country Wreath Dies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals

1.     The base of the card is Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut at 4-1/4” x 8-1/2” and scored at 3”.  Use the Bone Folder to burnish the score line.

2.    Insert a large piece of Basic White cardstock into the Stamparatus and the Sketched Plaid set on the plate.  Ink the stamp up with Cherry Cobbler ink until satisfied with the results.  Cut one piece at 4” x 5-1/4” for inside and another piece at 2-3/4” x 4” for the outside.  Attach both pieces with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

3.    Cut Basic White cardstock at 3” x 8” and score at 4” in the middle.  Burnish with the Bone Fonder. Glue to the inside so that front hangs over the outside of the card.

4.    Ink up the sentiment “Sending Warmth Your Way” from Horse & Sleigh stamp set. Cut Cherry Cobbler cardstock at ¾” x 4” and attach above the sentiment.

5.    Use Shaded Spruce ink on the wreath on Basic White cardstock.  Die cut with the Country Wreath Die.  Attach Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and attach to the Basic White card front.

6.    Die-cut a Cherry Cobbler bow from the Country Wreath Dies.  Attach to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.

7.    Add 4 Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the wreath and one for the bow.

8.    Add 3 on the Cherry Cobbler Strip.
