High Tide and Bermuda Bay

This is one of my favorite new sets from the Occasions Catalog.  It is called High Tide.  If you like the beach, the ocean, birds and lighthouses, you will love this set.  The base of my card is Basic Black cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2",   The second layer is Bermuda Bay cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and stamped with Bermuda Bay ink with the stamp in the set that creates the water in the background.  The set includes a two-step technique to make the lighthouse and also a stamp to create sand.  First I stamped Basic Black ink on a 2" x 3-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock with the first part of the lighthouse Then I stamped it with the other part with Bermuda Bay.  The sand was stamped with Sahara Sand.  It is a photopolymer set and comes with 16 stamps on page 25 of the Occasions Catalog.

Seaside Shore - Kissing Fish

This is another Seaside Shore card that we made at a recent club workshop.  I taught my club members how to do a reverse stamping image by using a Window Sheet to transfer the image onto Whisper White card stock and then stamp again on Whisper White card stock not using the window sheet, so both images are reversed from each other.  However, they had to color in both fish with Stampin' Up! markers so that they would look the same colors.  They also used the new Seaside TIEF to create the water effect but first stamped the seaweed at the bottom with Island Indigo and then color them with markers before running it through the Big Shot.  I had them use the new Layered Circle Framelits in the Big Shot.  They used direct to paper with ink pad to the Whisper White Circle by dragging a Pool Party Stampin' Spot across the top of the circle and then sponging Sahara Sand ink at the bottom of the circle. and the starfish were stamped with Calypso Coral ink.  The fish are attached to the circle with Dimensionals.  The base of my card is Pool Party with a layer of Dapper Denim and another layer of Pool Party. I also did this card for my swaps this month with four other demos.

Seaside Shore - Kissing Fish

This is a card that I made yesterday by using the Seaside TIEF in the Big Shot but first, I stamped everything on it first except the fish before I embossed it.  Then, I stamped a fish on a window sheet with Island Indigo ink and transferred the image to Whisper White cardstock to get a reverse image of the fish.  Then I stamped another fish on Whisper White and colored both in with markers of Island Indigo, Night of Navy, and Sahara Sand.  I cut them out with Paper Snips and attached them with Dimensionals facing each other so they appear to be kissing.  What a fun technique that was inspired by Michelle Zindorf's tutorial on reverse stamping.
