Hey Birthday Chick - Birthday Chick on a Fence

Hey, Birthday Chick is such a fun stamp set to use especially if you have friends that love chickens.  I started making this card several weeks ago but didn't get back to it until yesterday to cut out all the bits I needed.  I was inspired by Brenda Quintana's card to make one of my own.  It reminds me of the chickens waking up in the morning sunshine to wish a Happy Birthday to a friend.
Here are my instructions:

1.     The base of the card is Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4” in the middle.

2.    The second layer is Basic White cardstock cut at 4” x 5-1/4” and inserted into the Subtle Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

3.    The third layer is Balmy Blue cardstock cut at 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” and inserted into the Subtle Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

4.    Using the Layering Circles Die, die-cut a large Bumblebee scallop circle and a smaller circle from the Dandy Garden DSP to create the sun.

5.    Ink up the chickens with Stazon and stamp on Basic White cardstock.  Die-cut with the Birthday Chick Dies.  Color them in with Stampin’ Up! Markers.

6.    Die-cut the Happy Birthday die from Poppy Parade cardstock.

7.    Die-cut two fences from Soft Suede cardstock.

8.    Now, you are ready to assemble.  Attach the two fences together towards the right side of the Balmy Blue layer at the bottom.  Attach the chicken to the sun with Dimensionals and adhere above the fence so that chicken’s feet touch a fence post.

9.    Attach the baby chick with a Dimensional and attach at the other end of the fence.

10.  Attach the Poppy Parade Happy Birthday sentiment on the left with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
