Christmas Blue Ball Jars

I purchased these blue Mason Ball Vintage Style Jars at Kmart and my daughter saw them at Michaels.  They can also be found at Target. It is their 100th Anniversary and I saw some cute samples made by Sandi MacIver and knew I had to make some of them myself.  I used the Festive Flurry stamp and Framelit Bundle #133284 (w) #133285 (c).  I also used the Circle Framelits #130911 and Silver Glimmer Paper #124005.  I put the 3/4" Chevron Ribbon in Island Indigo #131151 around jar rim and added the Silver 1/8" Ribbon #132137.   I stamped a snowflake and attached it to the top with Dimensionals and added the Frosted Finish Embellishment #132150.  I used the stamp set Tags for You #133293 (w) #133294 (c).  I used Tempting Turquoise ink and used the Label Bracket Punch #132153 to punch it out and adhere to the Silver Glimmer Snowflakes.  On the other side, I stamped "A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to You' with the Christmas Tagables #134623 Photopolymer stamp set.  I filled it with chocolate, of course!

Best of Snow Frosty

It looks like we are expecting snow this week.  It has been a long time since I've made a snowman outside, but I will stay in where it is warm and make this snowman card instead.  I did this for a swap last month.  It was quick and easy and I love the little Frosty from Best of Snow #134387 (c).  The colors are Island Indigo and Pool Party.  I also used the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder #120902 in the Big Shot using Whisper White card stock and embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels #119246.  Frosty is all glitzy with Dazzling Diamonds #102023.

Happy Birthday!

This is a special birthday card I made for a special friend.  Her birthday was in November.  She had given me some glitter gel pens and so I wanted to make a card for her using them.  I also used the Chalk Marker #132133 from the Holiday Catalog.  I used an old clear ruler that Stampin' Up! used to sell so I can see where to draw my lines on the 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Night of Navy card stock at 3/4" inch apart with the Chalk Marker.  Then I used the glitter gel pens to randomly mark lines too.  I used the 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon #114319.  Silver Embossing Powder was used to make the snowflake on the Night of Navy card stock and cut out with the Festive Flurry Framelit Die #132193 and Festive Flurry (w) #131778; (c) #131781 stamp set.

Happy Birthday Pedal Praise

It is has been a busy month and I have not posted yet for December, so since it is almost over, I'd better post some of my work from the past several months.  This is a card I made with the Pumpkin Pumpkin from August, 2013.  The stamp set is called Pedal Praise and the DSP is called Birthday Basics #130145.  I also used the Thinlets Label Card Die #133479 to make this card as well as using 3/8" Primrose Stitched Satin Ribbon #126844The Artisan Label #130920 and the Deco Labels Collection #130102.

Magnificent Maple with Sweater Weather

The leaves are still falling off the trees and Thanksgiving is getting closer.  Makes me very hungry thinking of that turkey dinner.  That is what inspired me to create this card.  It is a card I did for my November swap using the Magnificent Maple stamp set and the Sweather Weather DSP #132184. The base of the card was made by using the new Circle Card Thinlet Die #133480.  I also used the Gently Falling stamp set using the colors Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Tangerine Tango.  The "Happy Thanksgiving" stamp is from the Holiday Catalog and it is called Tags 4 You which also uses the Label Bracket Punch #132153.

Tags 4 You

This is another card I made in September for a swap.  I used the same stamp set, but instead of Washi tape, I used the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper on the front of my card and used the same colors.

Trick or Treat

Sadly, I have not been posting or making any cards this month because my husband was in Hospice care for three weeks in September and passed away October 1 from colon cancer.  I have not stamped all month as it is hard to get inspired right now, but my friend Justine stopped by last night and we looked at some of my cards from the past and the most recent ones.  I had stamped some cards in September and never got them posted.  Thought I'd better post some of my Halloween cards before this month is over with.  This one is made with the Oval Framelits and I also used the Witches Brew DesignerWashi Tape as well as the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  The stamp set is from Tags 4 You and the colors I used are Very Vanilla, Basic Black, and Pumpkin Pie.

Wetlands

Love these little sand pipers from the Wetlands set in the catalog and thought they would be perfect to use on the Watercolor Paper #122959.  I used Soft Suede card stock for my main card.  I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder #127821 using Marina Mist cardstock, but first I stamped the grass with Soft Suede ink before running it through the Big Shot.  I thought using the Marina Mist card stock with this embossing folder actually made it look like water.  Using Jet Black Stazon ink #101406 I stamped the sand pipers on Watercolor Paper and used the Aqua Painters #103954 to create the background effect.  I used the Deco Labels Collection #130102
 to cut out the dies.

Halloween Happiness

Next week, it will be close to the 90's in Indiana, so it's not quite fall yet, but I made this card a few weeks ago when we had some cooler weather.  Halloween Happiness is a new wood-mount stamp in the Holiday Catalog on page 20.  I used various shades of markers to ink up each pumpkin and used a black marker for the "Halloween Happiness".  I stamped the Jack O'lantern and trimmed him out with a dimensional on the back to make him pop out on the card.  The base color of my card is Basic Black. Then layered with Tangerine Tango.  Next, I used the new In Color Crisp Cantaloupe but first I put it through the Big Shot using the new embossing folder called Stylish Stripes on page 22 in the Holiday Catalog.  The Washi tape is called Witches' Brew which is self sticking.  It comes in three designs on page 20 of the Holiday catalog.  I stamped "You Make Me Smile" from the A Round Array stamp set with Black Stazon ink.  I punched it out with 7/8" Scalloped Circle Punch and put a Deminisional on the back with some 1/8" Tangerine Tango Taffeta Ribbon.

Mosaic Madness and Artisan Label

I'm so in love with this color combination (Island Indigo and In-color Coastal Cabana).
This is a card I designed for a workshop a few weeks ago.  I used the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder  #129984 on the Island Indigo card stock.  Then I used the stamp from Mosaic Madness on Coastal Cabana and punched each one out with the Mosaic Punch #131267.  Each one has a Basic Rhinetstone Jewel in the center.  The "Happy Birthday" verse is from Label Love stamp set stamped on Whisper White card stock   It is then punched out with Artisan Label Punch #130920 and trimmed out with Paper Snips. Then I punched out an a Coastal Cabana card stock using the same punch and layered the Happy Birthday verse onto it and attached with Dimensionals to the front of the card.

Too Kind Coastal Cabana

This is the same design of Too Kind, but using different colors.  I used Island Indigo and the new In-Color Coastal Cabana together.  I really like these two colors together.

You're Too Kind

I love this new stamp set called Too Kind.  I wanted to teach my customers how to do the two-step stamping using the Stamp-a-ma-jig #101049.  The stamp-a-ma-jig helps you position your stamp image exactly where you want it.  The base of this card is Calypso Coral 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded at 4 1/4" and I layered the new In-color Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock by first inserting it into the new Beautiful Boroque Embossing Folder #130917 and running it through the Big Shot.  I attached it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue #110755.  Next, I used the Big Shot and my Labels Collection #125598 to cut out a framelit of Whisper White and then a larger framelit of Calypso Coral.  I stamped the larger flower with the new In-Color Crisp Cantaloupe ink (the lighter color)on the Whisper White card stock, and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig and then used Calyspo Coral (the darker color). Then I stamped the stem with the new In-Color Pistachio Pudding ink. Then I did the smaller flower.
I put Dimensionals on the back of the Whisper White Framelit and layered onto the Calyspo Coral Framelit and attached to my card with Snail Adhesive.  I added Jewels Basic Pearls #119247 to each flower.  I stamped "You're too Kind" with Basic Gray ink.

Dianne's Mosaic Madness

My demo friend Dianne sent me this gorgeous card in the mail.  Don't you just love it??? The stamp sets she used were Mosaic Madness and Best of Birthdays.  The embossing folder is the new Modern Mosaic.
The colors she used for the card are Pool Party and Soft Sky.  She also used the new punch Mosaic and Rhinestone Basic Jewels on each punched Mosaic. This is one of my favorite cards.  Thanks Dianne!

By the Tide

This is a card I made with the By the Tide set.  The cardstock is Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Night of Navy.  All of the ink used was Night of Navy.  I used the 1" Circle Punch and a Dimensional.  The technique is called tearing cardstock.

Wildflower Meadow

Wildflower Meadow is one of the new sets in the new catalog and it has an embossing folder to match also called Wildflower Meadow.  I also used another embossing folder called Modern Mosaic.  The "thank you" is from the hostess set called Express Yourself.  The Ovals Collection Framelit Dies were also used to make this card.
The colors I used in this card are Very Vanilla for the base and oval and Word Window Punch, Pear Pizzazz for the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder, and Westeria Wonder for the bigger oval and Modern Label Punch.

Magnetic Platform

In the past, I showed customers how to use post-it notes to hold their Framelits in place while running them through the Big Shot.  Now, with the new Magnetic Platform #130658, we don't have too.  What an awesome idea!

Just Believe

This is my swap for the retiring stamp sets I made also using retiring ink pads.
This stamp set is called Just Believe and you have until June 3 to order this stamp set.  Stampin' Up! announced yesterday that retiring stamp sets would be available until then.  The colors are Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery (all colors that are retiring).  I used the Labels Collection Framelit and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits which are not retiring to make this card. This weekend, I will be posting some new cards made with the new sets and accessories.

Happy Father's Day Beer Mug

This is my Happy Father's Day card that could also be a masculine Happy Birthday card.  I used the Woodgrain background stamp with Soft Suede card stock and adhered to Whisper White folded card stock.  To make the mug I used a  3" x 31/2" of Whisper White and used a corner rounder punch on all four sides.  To make the handle is I used the Oval Punches to make the mug handle by first punching the smaller oval on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and then taking the larger oval punch over where I just punched.  The beverage is made by using 3 pieces of So Saffron card stock at 7/8" x 3 3/4" cardstock and used the corner rounder punch on them as well.  I sponged all three with So Saffron ink and stamped Happy Father's Day in Soft Suede on one of them.
To make the foam, I used the 1 1/2" Circle punch on Whisper White card stock and punched out 3.  Then I punched out 5 circles with the 3/4" Circle Punch, 1 of the 1/2 circle punch, and 5 of the Itty Bitty Scallop Punch.  Each was adhered with dimensionals.

Beautiful Wings

This is a card I made using Oval Framelits and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits.  I also used the Embossing folders Fancy Fan used on Whisper White card stock and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder used on Vellum card stock.  The colors I used were Island Indigo, Pool Party and Whisper White.  Butterflies were attached with Glue Dots.

Oh, Whale

This is a card I made in February and found the idea on Pinterest.  It is made with the new set Oh, Whale #129129 (w) or #129132 (c) and the Clearlit Happy Whale Die #129403 from the Spring Catalog which also cuts out the fish, anchor (as well as a heart, star and splash).  The base of the card is Island Indigo card stock.  The waves were made using Marina Mist card stock and I used the Simply Scored Borders Plate #126192.  The whale has a Rhinestone Basic Jewel #119246 for his eye.  The cloudy sky was made using Whisper White card stock with the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder "Cloudy Days" #127022.  The verse, "Get whale soon." was stamped with Marina Mist ink and then cut out with the Bitty Banner Framelits #129267.  I sponged the edges and attached with Dimensionals.  This stamp set and Clearlit are available until the end of May from the Spring Catalog.

One in a Million Flip Card

This is the first time I've ever made a flip card and I learned how from the video that Dee made below.  It was made using a 4 1/4" x 11" Daffodil Delight card stock. Then I scored it at 2 3/4" and then 3 3/4". I think she put the wrong scoring measurements in the video, so be sure you use the measurements I used above.  The colors are Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, and Lucky Limeade and I used the Labels Collection Framelits.   The DSP is called Sunshine and Sprinkles from the Spring Catalog.  It was fun to make and I used this as my swap last month.

Ears To You - Single Stamp

This is the card that I created for my workshop yesterday.  The technique is called an interlocking card made using the new Oval Framelit Dies.  The bunny stamp is a single stamp that you can order called Ears To You #132659 which is available until March 31, 2013.   The Rich Razzleberry card stock  is 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 2 3/4" each on each side.  Each side meets in the middle and I used the Sycamore Street DSP on each side cut at 2 1/2" x 4" and attached with Snail Adhesive. I used Summer Starfruit and Whisper White card stock for the rest of the card.   I colored the bunnies with markers that match the DSP.  I used the Delightful Dozen stamp set on page 140 of the catalog to stamp the verse "happy easter" on the inside.

Ears To You

This is an Easter card I made for my demo friend Dianne.  She made the cute little bunny Easter card for me, so I wanted to return the favor.  This is an interlocking card and on my next posting, I will show you a picture of another one I did at a workshop yesterday.

Butterflies

This is a card I created for a workshop I had yesterday.  I wanted to use the butterfly punches (Elegant Butteryfly Punch #127526 from the Stampin' Up! catalog and Bitty Butterfly Punch #129406 from the Spring Catalog)  and the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die #114507The little "thank you" verse is from the set Pretty Petites stamp set in the Sale-a-bration brochure that I earned free with a $50 purchase and I used the Petite Curly Label Punch  that I also earned from the SAB brochure to punch it out.  The colors I used are Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and whisper White.  I added Pearl Basic Jewels #119247 for the body of the butterfly.  The Old Olive background is by using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder #129378 in the Big Shot #113439.  The Rich Razzleberry oval is from using the Oval Framelit Dies #129381 in the Big Shot.

Swallowtail on Parker's Patterns

Here is another Swallowtail card that I made using Parker's Patterns DSP, but inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest made by Ann Clemmer which I thought was such a cool idea.  The base of my card is Daffodil Delight card stock with the a layer of Marina Mist run through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder #129378.  The Swallowtail stamp was stamped with Stazon Jet Black ink pad #101406 onto the Parker's Pattern DSP #130121 on page 20 of the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog.  Then I cut it out with Paper Snips and attached it to the front of my card.  The Swallowtail stamp is too large to fit on a regular size A2 card, but it looks as though he is in flight on my card.  I stamped the "For You" from the My Little Valentine stamp set and used the Small Oval Punch #120908 to punch it out and attach with a Dimensional #104430.

Swallowtail

Just love this Swallowtail stamp set from the Spring Mini on page 18.  This butterfly was inspired by Patty Bennett on her watercoloring technique video.  First, it was embossed on Shimmery White card stock #101910 using the Versamark Pad #102883 and Black Embossing Powder #109133 using the Heat Tool #129053.  Then I used the Aqua Painter #103954 filled with water and used the refill inker colors Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango on a plastic pallette to create this beautiful butterfly.  The little tangerine oval was from the stamp set My Little Valentine that was offered in February.  I wonder if it will make it to the next Stampin' Up! catalog.  It is such a cute set.  I used the Small Oval Punch #120908
to punch it out with.

Curly Cute Papillon Potpouri Butterflies

This is similar to a card I found on Pinterest that inspired me. The original card was made by Maggie Patterson, but I changed it up a bit.  The base of my card is Not Quite Navy.  Then I stamped butterflies from the Papillon Potpouri set in the Stampin' Up! catalog with Baja Breeze ink onto Baja Breeze card stock.   The Designer Series Paper is called Patio Party.  The big butterfly is cut out from Night of Navy card stock using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die.  Then I stamped a butterfly from the Papillon Poutpouri set onto Baja Breeze card stock and punched it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch #127526 and attached with Glue Dots #103683 to the Not Quite Navy butterfly.  I attached Pearl Basic Jewels #119247 for the body of the butterfly.  The verse "Thinking of You" is from the Curly Cute stamp set stamped with Not Quite Navy ink on Whisper White and attached to the front with 1/8" Silver Mini Brads #122941.

Delicate Details Lace Tape

This is was an idea from Jen Arkfeld and since I loved her design, I had to try out the new Delicate Details Lace Tape #130966 from the Spring Catalog for $9.95.  There are two designs if the tape and it has a removeable adhesive on the back, so it can be used again.  The colors I used on the Whisper White card stock were Pool Party, Baja Breeze and Island Indigo.  I laid the tape in the middle and sponged with Pool Party, then I carefully removed the tape and laid it below and sponged it with Baja Breeze.  Then at the bottom, I used Island Indigo.  The base of the card is Island Indigo.  The ribbon is Island Indigo from the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Bundle Pack earned from the Sale-a-Bration catalog for spending $50 in net sales.  The greeting "Happy Birthday" is from the set Curly Cute.

Valentine Treat

Here is another Valentine creation I made using the Petite Pocket Bix XL.  The stamp set is from the new Ciao, Baby! from the Spring Catalog.  The printed tag wrapped around the Petite Pocket is from the Holiday Catalog from the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags.  I inserted a Blow Pop in the pocket for a Valentine treat.

Happy Easter Bunny

Isn't this just the cutest Easter card?  My demo friend Dianne, made this card and sent it to me last week.  It really made me smile.  It is made with punches and the ribbon is the new 3/8" Striped Organdy Melon Mambo Ribbon in the Spring Catalog. Thanks Dianne for letting me post it to my blog.

Cross My Heart

This is a card I made for a Stampin' Up! demo friend of mine.  We have been friends for over a year when we did a group swap, but the hostess for the swap never returned our swaps.  So my demo friend and I have sent emails to each other almost every day and have become very good friends.  So I guess a bad thing turned into a good thing.  She has helped me with so many tips or ideas for my husband's health because her mother went through cancer too.  Anyway, this one is for you Dianne.  This card is made using the new stamp set Cross My Heart.  The colors I used were:  Pool Party, Primrose Petals, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla which are colors in the More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper.   I used the DSP to punch the heart with the Hearts Collection Framelits.  I also used the laser-cut doily heart from the More Amore DSP.  The background was made using the new Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock which is perfect for using the Sanding Block after I ran it through the Big Shot using the new Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  With the Paper Snips, I trimmed out two sections of the Honeycomb from the More Amore DSP and attached to the front of my card with a button from the Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack from Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Be My Valentine

I didn't post at all in January.  My husband was in the hospital and no time to stamp, but I did make a couple cards before he got sick.  This is one I made for a swap I was in.  It is made with the new Hearts a Flutter stamp set and Hearts a Flutter Framelit Dies.  The "Be my Valentine" is from Delightful Dozen and the "Just for You" is from Tea Shoppe.  The little hearts are from the Owl Builder Punch and attached with Glue Dots.  The colors I used are Very Vanilla and the 2012-2014 Primrose Petals In-Color.  The background is made with the Fancy Fan Folder.  I used the new Borders Scoring Plate for the bottom of my card.

Yuletide Village with Frosted Forest trees in an arch

This is the card that I used for my monthly November swap.  The theme was "Christmas Card" but although there is no message on the...
